About action painting

In the abstract  work of Virginia Casado, there is an intuitive entry guided by inspiration into a plane where the visible has not yet taken form. Through a finely tuned sensitivity, the artist accesses what can be described as a subtle field: a vibratory state that exists before image, before matter, where thought has not yet organized the world.

Casado does not build; she channels. Trusting the process entirely, she surrenders to an inner flow that guides each gesture. From this expanded presence, she enters a primary substance—a non-formal matrix containing all the possibilities of what may be revealed.

Here, form dissolves. Matter is no longer dense but resonant. For Casado, abstraction is not a style or visual device it is a method of access.

What appears on the canvas is the trace of an immeasurable vibration,

an expression that precedes language,

a grammar of the pulse.

Macro and microcosms are not opposites in her work; they are part of one continuous living current. Each painting arises from spontaneous, intuitive movement that transcends language, surpasses form, and expands the boundaries of thought.

What Casado reveals is not a world beneath or beyond.

It is a world that is here, coexisting exactly where the surface of things stops being a boundary.

At that point of inflection, the artwork appears as a testimony to a non-linear intelligence, universal in nature, that sustains and moves through the whole.

The visible becomes just one layer of something 'real'.

And art—a receptive framework: a space that allows what arises to be held without judgment, respectfully open, without interference.
